System Overview FleetLinc asset tracking, vehicle location and dispatch is a real time, low-cost, web based fleet management solution. It provides continuous information on stop times and locations, routes taken, speed and exceptions direct to your desktop, accessible anywhere in the world, using a web interface (Internet Explorer). The system uses popular wireless carriers, determined by your geographical service area, providing you with the best solution for your location. In the US, the system is compatible with coverage provided by AT&T/Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint (CDMA/GPRS). As a standard the system provides 5-minute updates, with location data also optionally logged every 1-minute, recorded, and then updated every hour, providing very detailed vehicle information for replay and reports. The system also provides bi-directional text messaging, vehicle status updates, vehicle sensor reports, speed exceptions, stops and starts to name a few. Any investment in this type of technology should be designed to increase fleet efficiency, accountably, productivity and profitability. It is imperative that you understand what you are getting prior to making a decision to buy, as is the case with the introduction of any management tool. Technology:
FleetLinc is a subsidiary of CES Wireless Technologies Corp., founded in 1974, with thousands of customers worldwide, using this same vehicle product for live, real time dispatch and vehicle monitoring as is offered here. Satisfied users include police departments, EMS, public safety, taxi services and transportation companies who need on the fly, 24/7 reliable fleet management systems – organizations where life and death depends on the operation of their fleet management technology.
The only difference is that FleetLinc is a web based interface. CES Wireless (www.ceswireless.com) provides PC and client based software systems - the vehicle hardware is identical, although not all of the in-vehicle product hardware features are supported when used through the web interface. You can upgrade from a web based interface to a client/workstation interface at any time.
